Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her early Broadway performances included Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. As the character Essie in You Can't Take It With You she received the Tony Award. Annaleigh is a Tony Award winning actress and director has spent most of her career working alongside famous directors and actors both on screen and in television. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is involved in Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust that stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film is a Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. Ashford will return to Broadway in the month of March 2023 where he will star alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that produced Hamilton. Ashford most recently starred Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment based on the nation's crisis, which swept into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment trial in more than a century. She was the star of two seasons on CBS Comedy B Positive. The show was created by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. The show featured Linda Lavin as well as Hector Elizondo as well as Ben Vereen.
