The most notable accomplishment of her career occurred when she played The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's first Broadway production. Not only did she receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by critics. The following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced one single and an extended work. In her role as an activist, she is a tireless advocate to promote LGBT equality.
